Why did you join The Hive, anyway? Was it to make the world a better place, to help people you couldn’t normally help? Maybe there was a bit of egotism to it, after all. You don’t know. All you know is that you’ve dedicated so much time to this place, and in recent years, you don’t know if you’re doing what you set out to do after all. The Hive has become nearly unrecognizable. You used to close your eyes at night pretty restfully, knowing you’d done all you could do, and these days it just keeps getting harder to sleep.

You want to help people. You never thought that was something you had to explicitly feel or state, but the new recruits that have been coming in have made you second guess that. You feel like you have to stick to the Handbook and uphold some semblance of the old Hive, the one that cared about who it hurt and how it went about things. You know you can still save it.
